LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Just five days after capturing first place in the season opener, the New Mexico State women's golf team tees off at the Colonel Wollengerg's Ptarmigan Ram Classic, Sept. 17-19, in Fort Collins, Colo.
NM State is joined by 14 teams which include Boise State, Colorado, host Colorado State, Gonzaga, Indiana, Long Beach State, Nevada, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, San Francisco, San Jose State, UC Irvine, UNC Greensboro and Wyoming.
Traveling for the Aggies is

Maria Prado and freshman
Tiegan Taylor making her first appearance for NM State.
The team is led by Chanachai who won Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year in 2016-17. The sophomore then began this season taking individual medalist honors at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic, Sept. 11-12, followed closely behind by
Dominique Galloway who finished in fifth and
Kennedie Montoya who tied for 10
th.
The tournament is set to be played at the Ptarmigan Country which is a par-72, 6,384-yard layout. Golfers tee off the first two rounds of the Ram Classic at 8 a.m. MT on Sunday, Sept. 17, and Monday, Sept.18. The final round has a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Following the Col. Wollengerg's Ptarmigan Ram Classic, the Aggies return home to host the NM State Aggie Invitational, Oct. 9-11, at the NMSU University Golf Course.
