FORT COLLINS, COLO. – New Mexico State women's golf completed day two of competition at the Colonel Wollenberg's Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Monday afternoon. The Aggies jumped up to second place out of 15 after posting the best team score for the second round at 284 (-4) which put the team's tournament total at 578 (+2).
Team play was led by
Pun Chanachai who fired a program and course-record 63 (-9) on Monday. This brought her two-day score to 133 (-11) which has the sophomore atop the leaderboard by eight strokes. Chanachai birdied on nine of 18 holes in round two and now leads the field with 13 total.
Dominique Galloway improved on day two to help move the Aggies into second with totals of 73-71--144 (E) as the golfer is now tied for ninth. Rookie
Tiegan Taylor fired a 73-77--150(+6), good for a tie for 44
th.
Kennedie Montoya shot a one-over, 73, in round two which puts the seniors score at 151 (+7) and moves her into a tie for 47
th.
Maria Prado completes the Aggie lineup firing a 78-77--155 (+11) which puts her in a tie for 67
th.
San Jose State moved into first place after round two with a 36-hole total of 575 (-1), followed by NM State at 578 (+2) and Colorado State in third with a team score of 583 (+7).
