@NMStateBaseball Signs Nationally Ranked Recruiting Class

NM State baseball has been named the 37th best recruiting class in the NCAA for 2017.

TUCSON, Ariz. – Collegiate Baseball recently announced its top-40 recruiting classes in NCAA Division I baseball. For the third-straight year, the New Mexico State was recognized for having one of the top nationally ranked recruiting classes, coming in at No. 37.

"What an incredible honor to be recognized by Collegiate Baseball in the national recruiting rankings," said head coach Brian Green. "Aggie Baseball has now been ranked nationally in recruiting for three consecutive years, and we couldn't be more proud. In the recruiting process and in our daily diligence, we as a coaching staff and program are guided by three principles to our success: 1) To recruit and develop 2) To inspire our community and 3) To teach at a high level. For us to be recognized nationally around numerous Power 5 programs in recruiting is a testament to the hard work of our coaches, administration and support staff. A great day of recognition for the NM State program, and we are honored to be recognized by Collegiate Baseball, one of the most respected publications in the NCAA."

The Aggies' spot at No. 37 on the list puts them above notable teams like Baylor, Maryland, Texas Tech and Wake Forest, all of whom made it to the 2017 College World Series.

Vanderbilt ranked atop the 2017 national recruiting rankings. Seven of the top-10 teams are from the Southeastern Conference. This year's list marks the eighth time in the last nine years that an SEC team has won the recruiting championship.
