LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's tennis team is headed to Boulder, Colo., to open its 2017-18 campaign under first-year head coach
Emily Wang.

The four-day tournament we be played under a round-robin format between Colorado (host), Oklahoma, New Mexico and New Mexico State.

This weekend will also be the first time Coach Wang will get to see her Aggies compete between the lines, including a trio of newcomers in
Helena Colvee,
Quinty Janssen and
Yadira Rubio. Returning for the Aggies is First-Team All-WAC honoree
Vanessa Valdez and WAC All-Freshman/Transfer Team honoree
Rebecca Keijzerwaard. WAC All-Tournament Team recipient
Lindsay Harlas also returns for NM State along with
Eli Arnaudova.

"The CU Invitational is going to be a tough tournament where we will get to see a high level of tennis," Wang said. "This is important for us early in the fall as we prepare for the regional tournament in Salt Lake City, which will be a high level of competition as well."

Thursday's contest begins at 3 p.m. (MT) with each team schedule for a pair of doubles matches. Friday serves as the first full day of action, starting at 9 a.m. as each team is slated to play two singles matches each. Saturday will be the same as Friday except team will have time to play an extra set of singles matches with at least one guaranteed doubles match. Sunday concludes play for everyone and again begin at 9 a.m. as teams wrap up doubles action.

In doubles play on Thursday, Keizerwaard will team up with fellow countryman Janssen to open play against UNM's duo of Ruth Copas and Natasha Munday while Harlas and Arnaudova take on the Lobos' Bronte Murgett and Albie Huang. Valdez and Rubio will pair up for NM State to take on CU's Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Jeannez Daniel.
