LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State softball announced its fall schedule on Wednesday. The Aggies are set to take on Western New Mexico, Midland College and Eastern Arizona at home and also compete against UTEP on the road.
"It should be great fall season," head coach Kathy Rodolph said. "We brought in a lot of young talent this season and we're excited to see how they will perform. The whole team has worked hard and we can't wait to play in front of our fans again!"
NM State kicks off the fall season with a doubleheader against Western New Mexico on Sept. 16, beginning at 10 a.m. (MT). The Aggies close out the month of September with back-to-back games against Midland College at the NM State Softball Complex with the first pitch set for 1 p.m.
New Mexico State travels for its third set of fall contests when the Aggies take on UTEP on Oct. 1. First pitch from El Paso, Texas, is set for 1 p.m. NM State returns home for its final fall games against Eastern Arizona on Oct 8, with the doubleheader set for 2Â p.m.
New Mexico State returns 17 players from its 2017 squad including the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year Kelsey Horton. Last season, the Aggies earned their third-straight WAC regular season title. NM State also won its third WAC Tournament and earned a berth to the NCAA tournament.
