LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's golf team opens the 2017-18 season at the 49
th Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, Sept. 8-10, at the Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
NM State is joined on the links by 17 teams including Abilene Christian, tournament host Air Force, Colorado, Colorado State, Drake, George Washington, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, SIUE, Southern Utah, Texas State, UNLV, Utah State, Utah Valley, UTEP, Weber State, Wyoming.
The three-day, 54-hole invitational is set to begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8-9. Pairings and tee times for the final round, scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m., is going to be determined by team score. Live stats for the tournament can be followed on

Thomas Tulk are traveling as individuals. The invitational is the first career event as Aggies for
Taylor Stote and
Thomas Tulk.
The team plays on the Blue Course at the Eisenhower GC which opened in the 1959 and is named after former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who took part in the dedication ceremony. The 7,461 yard, par-72 layout is currently ranked as the third best military course in the nation (PGA.com) and the 25th best college course (Golf Week) in the country.
After the season-opener, the Aggies travel to Albuquerque, N.M. to take part in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, Sept. 22-23.
