LAS CRUCES, N.M. – A celebration 57 years in the making will take place downtown at the Plaza de Las Cruces on Saturday, Jan. 20, from noon to 1:30 p.m. (MT).

The New Mexico State Athletic Department and City of Las Cruces have collaborated to celebrate the NM State football team's thrilling 26-20 overtime victory over Utah State in the 2017 NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl on Dec. 29.

The downtown party will begin with a procession from north Church Street before ending at the Plaza de Las Cruces. Aggie fans are encouraged to line up on Organ Avenue and Plaza de Las Cruces. Festivities will include the NMSU Pride Band, Sun Dancers, cheer squad and Pistol Pete.
NM State Director of Athletics Mario Moccia, Football Head Coach Doug Martin, Mayor Ken Miyagishima, City Manager Stuart Ed and Aggie football players will be in attendance for the celebration.

In addition, there will be an autograph session following the main program and limited-edition bowl championship posters will be available. Fans will also have an opportunity take photos with the Arizona Bowl Championship Trophy, along with the Silver Spade and Brass Spittoon.

Fans will have the chance to spin a prize wheel, sponsored by the city of Las Cruces, to win select prizes, including tickets to the Aggie men's basketball game later that day. There will also be food vendors for those in attendance. Sports Accessories will be on hand for Aggie fans of all ages to purchase bowl championships gear.
