LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State indoor track and field team travels to Albuquerque, N.M., for the New Mexico Team Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the ABQ Convention Center.

The NM State squad enters the weekend after posting impressive performances at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational. During the first day of competition,
Keyarha Wilson set a new personal best in the high jump (1.71m, 5-7.25), ranking the sophomore second all-time at New Mexico State.
Tanisha Scott was named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week after her stellar performance at the meet, which included a time of 7.72 in the 60 meter dash for a new personal record. In the shot put,
Yemisi Oroyinyin threw a new personal best when she placed eighth in the event with a mark of 14.42m (47-3.75). Her throw ranks third in program history.

The Aggies are set to compete against seven other programs including WAC opponent Grand Canyon. NM State begins the meet with the women's weight throw at 9:30 a.m. MT on Saturday. Running events on the women's side begin with the 600m race at 12 p.m.
