TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State men's golf team completed the final two rounds at the Arizona Intercollegiate on Tuesday in Tucson, Ariz. After the two-day, three-round event the Aggies shot a 920 (+68) to finish in 15
th.
Tadhg Campbell led team play for NM State firing a 82-72-75—229 (+13) to tie for 53
rd.
Michael McGilton came in three strokes behind Campbell for a three-day total of 232 (+16) to tie for 64
th.
Isaac Merry and newcomer
Tristin Goodwin each shot a 233 (+17) to tie for 68
th. Goodwin also led the Aggies with eight birdies in the event.
Ryo Harada rounded out the NM State starters with a 236 (+20) to tie for 80
th.
For the Aggie individuals,
Cooper Donahue fired an 80-74-75—229 (+13) to tie for 28
th in the Arizona Medalist Intercollegiate.
Tyler Svendson shot a 231 (+15) to tie for 30
th and
Jack Snyder completed the group with 233 (+17) to tie for 35
th.
Host Arizona took home first place in the tournament with a two-day total of 862 (+10), followed by Texas A&M with a score of 864 (+12) and Baylor in third at 866 (+14).
New Mexico State men's golf is back in action at the Pro Compression Invitational in San Diego, Calif. from Feb. 12-13.
