TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State men's golf team completed a shortened day one of play at the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Ariz. on Sunday. Through one round of action the Aggies sit in a tie for 12
th out of 16 teams with a score of 292 (+4).
Team play for NM State was led by
Isaac Merry and
Tristin Goodwin who sit in a tie for 31st after firing a 71 (-1) after 18 holes.
Michael McGilton follows behind in a tie for 58
th with a round total of 74 (+2).
Jack Snyder shot a 76 (+4) which puts the golfer in a tie for 76
th and
Tyler Svendson rounds out the Aggies starters with a score of 80 (+8) to finish in 90
th heading into day two.
After round one, Arizona State sits in first place with an 18-hole total of 267 (-21), followed by UNLV in second at 278 (-10) and host Arizona in third after firing a 279 (-9).
