SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The New Mexico State women's golf team wrapped up the two-day, three round Bruin/Wave Invitational at San Luis Obispo Country Club on Tuesday. After 54 holes of competition, the Aggies finished in 15
th with a team total of 965 (+101).
Pun Chanachai led the NM State lineup after firing a 80-78-79—237 (+21) to finish in a tie for 44
th.
Dominique Galloway followed with round scores of 78-82-82 to finish at 242 (+26) to tie for 56
th.
Kennedie Montoya shot an 82-85-77—244 (+28) that put the golfer in a tie for 64
th at tournament's end.
Maria Prado finished with an 83-82-83—248 (+32) to place in a tie for 74
th.
Kehler Koss rounded out the Aggie starters with an 88-79-86—253 (+37) to tie for 81
st.
The tournament title was won by No. 10 USC with a team score of 896 (+32), followed by tournament host and top nationally ranked UCLA at 904 (+40) and No. 4 Stanford took home third with a total of 906 (+42).
New Mexico State women's golf returns to action at the Wildcat Invitational, March 5-6, in Tucson, Ariz. at the Sewailo Golf Course.
