TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's golf squad wrapped up day one of competition at the MountainView Collegiate on the MountainView Golf Course on Friday. Through one round of play the Aggies sit in ninth out of 15 teams with a team score of 300 (+12).
Through 18 holes NM State has been led by a trio of Aggies all tied for 22
nd.
Kennedie Montoya,
Dominique Galloway and
Pun Chanachai each fired a 74 (+2) on day one to be knotted up in the top-25.
At the end of round one
Maria Prado shot a 78 (+6) which put the golfer in a tie for 54
th.
Kehler Koss rounded out the starting lineup with an 82 (+10) to tie for 74
th.
Tiegan Taylor, competing as an individual, shot an 81 (+9) and is tied for 70
th on the individual leaderboard.
Heading into the second round of play, Illinois sits in first place on the team leaderboard with a total of 288 (E), followed by San Jose State in second at 290 (+2) and Kansas sits in third with a score of 293 (+5).
