TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's golf team completed play at the MountainView Collegiate on MountainView Golf Course on Sunday. The Aggies shot a 300-303-301—904 (+40) over three days to finish in 10
th among the 15 competitors.
Pun Chanachai led the way for NM State shooting a 74-69-74—217 (+1) to finish in a tie for fifth out of 80 golfers.
Dominique Galloway tied for 28
th after firing a 74-78-73—225 (+9).
Kennedie Montoya shot a 74-79-77—230 (+14) and finished in a tie for 50
th.
Maria Prado finished two strokes behind Montoya at 232 (+16) and took a tie for 56
th at the end of the three-day tournament.
Kehler Koss rounded out the Aggie starters with a score of 248 (+32) and finished in 78
th.
Tiegan Taylor competed as an individual and shot a 236 (+20) to tie for 68
th.
At tournament's end, Illinois took home first place on the team leaderboard with a total of 875 (+11), followed by San Jose State in second at 884 (+20) and host Missouri took third with a score of 885 (+21).
New Mexico State is back in action at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, April 2-3, at the Southern Dunes Golf Course in Maricopa, Ariz.
