SAN MARCOS, Texas – The New Mexico State women's track and field team competed in the Texas State Bobcat Invitational on Friday, March 30, from the Bobcat Track and Field Stadium.
Lashira Tremble placed fifth in the 100m when she clocked in at 11.92 in the event for a new personal record.
Tanisha Scott followed in ninth with a time of 12.01.
Julia Yescas placed seventh in the 1,500m when she clocked in at 4:40.57. In the 3,000m steeplechase
Corinne Hanson took home third when she posted a time of 11:18.45. her personal record ranks sixth in the NM State outdoor records.
A trio of Aggie placed in the top eight for the 5,000m race with
Jess Dominguez finishing in second overall with a time of 17:13.95. Her time ranks fifth all-time in the Aggie record books.
Sydney Salas (17:27.77) and
Cassey Amberg (17:49.40) placed fourth and eighth, respectively, in the race. The personal record for Salas puts the senior in ninth on the all-time list.
In the high jump,
Keyarha Wilson posted a mark of 1.65m (5-5) to finish in second.
Hannah Smith also competed in the event and placed 10
th when she jumped 1.55m (5-1).
Taniya Mitchell also came away with a second place when she recorded a mark of 52.40m (171-11) in the hammer throw.
Yemisi Oroyinyin (47.22, 154-11) placed eighth for a new personal record in the event while
Taylor Stutely (45.27, 148-6.25) placed came in 10
th place.
