TEMPE, Ariz. – The New Mexico State men's golf team wrapped up day one of action at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on Saturday. Through two rounds of play the Aggies have shot a 295-302-597 (+29) and sit in 16^th place.
 
At the end of day one, Isaac Merry led the way for NM State in a tie for 38^th after firing a 69-75—144 (+2). Tadhg Campbell with scores of 74-74—149 (+7) that puts the Aggie golfer in a tie for 66^th heading into the final round.
 
Michael McGilton shot a 73-77—150 (+8) and after two rounds is tied for 70^th. Ryo Harada has a total of 78-76—154 (+12) to tie for 80^th and Jack Snyder rounds out the squad in 80^th at 79-83—162 (+20).
 
Heading into the final day, No. 25 Arizona State and NO. 27 UNLV are tied for first at 550 (-18), followed by No. 3 Oklahoma in third at 553 (-15).
 
The ASU Thunderbird wraps up play with an 8:30 a.m. MT tee time on Sunday, April 15, on the Karsten Golf Course. Live scoring for the tournament can be followed on Golfstat.
