TEMPE, Ariz. – The New Mexico State men's golf team wrapped up day one of action at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on Saturday. Through two rounds of play the Aggies have shot a 295-302-597 (+29) and sit in 16
th place.
At the end of day one,
Isaac Merry led the way for NM State in a tie for 38
th after firing a 69-75—144 (+2).
Tadhg Campbell with scores of 74-74—149 (+7) that puts the Aggie golfer in a tie for 66
th heading into the final round.
Michael McGilton shot a 73-77—150 (+8) and after two rounds is tied for 70
th.
Ryo Harada has a total of 78-76—154 (+12) to tie for 80
th and
Jack Snyder rounds out the squad in 80
th at 79-83—162 (+20).
Heading into the final day, No. 25 Arizona State and NO. 27 UNLV are tied for first at 550 (-18), followed by No. 3 Oklahoma in third at 553 (-15).
