PHOENIX, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's golf team completed day one of action at the Western Athletic Conference Tournament on Monday at The Legacy Golf Resort. After posting an 18-hole score of 290 (+6), the Aggies sit in a tie for third.
Three NM State golfers sit in the top-10 and are led by
Kennedie Montoya who fired a 71 (E) and is tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard.
Pun Chanachai followed behind at one-over to sit in a tie for seventh and
Maria Prado is tie for ninth at 73 (+2).
After day one,
Dominique Galloway shot a 74 (+3) and heads into the second round tied for 17
th. Then
Tiegan Taylor rounded out the Aggie squad in a tie for 32
nd at 78 (+7).
Heading to the second round of play, Grand Canyon sits alone in first place at 285 (+1), followed by Seattle U with a team total of 287 (+3) and the Aggies are tied in with Utah Valley for third at 290 (+6).
