LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's track and field team continues the outdoor season in the Golden State as the team takes on top competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific. The meet begins on Thursday, April 19, at the Cougar Stadium in Azusa, Calif.
The Aggie squad returns to California after posing impressive performances at the Triton Invitational last weekend.
Katara Nelson placed first in the 400m as the senior clocked in at 52.53.
Tanisha Scott clocked in at 24.29 to take second in the 200m dash. In the long jump, Smith recorded a mark of 5.83m (19-1.5) for a new personal record that also ranks ninth in the NM State records.
