MARICOPA, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's golf team wrapped up day one of play at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday. Through the first two rounds of competitions the Aggies shot a 580 (+4) and sits in second place out of 19 teams.
Play for NM State has been led by
Pun Chanachai who sits alone in first place on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 75-65—140 (-4).
Dominique Galloway also sits in the top-10 after firing a 73-70—143 (-1) to tie for seventh. Chanachai and Galloway also lead the Aggie squad with seven birdies apiece.
Kennedie Montoya is tied for 29
th with scores of 74-74—148 (+4).
Maria Prado shot a 73-80—153 (+9) to tie for 60
th and
Tiegan Taylor rounds out the starters with an 82-76-158 (+14) to tie for 85
th.
Kehler Koss, who competed as an individual, posted scores of 77-77—154 (+10) to tie for 65
th.
The only team sitting above NM State on the team leaderboard is Sacramento State in first place with a team score of 566 (-10). Santa Clara follows closely behind the Aggies in third place with a team score of 583 (+7).
A final round of play at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. MT on Tuesday, April 3, with a shotgun start. Live play for the tournament can be followed on
