LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's golf team travels to Hutchinson, Kan. for the 2018 Western Athletic Conference Championships April 23-25, at Prairie Dunes Country Club. Since joining the WAC in 2006, the Aggies have won eight of the 12 conference championships.
A vote of the league's eight head coaches had NM State selected to finish second in the conference tournament with 27 points. Grand Canyon, in their first season of eligibility, received all six-possible first-place votes.
The starting lineup traveling for NM State consists of

Ryo Harada,
Michael McGilton and
Isaac Merry. Merry, the senior leader on the Aggie squad, posts a team-best stroke average of 73.10 through 29 rounds of play this season.
This three-day, 54-hole conference championship is set to be played at the Prairie Dunes Country Club, which is a 6,759 yard, par-70 layout. The host course for the 2002 U.S. Women's Open, the 2006 U.S. Senior Open and the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, the course has been ranked one of the top courses in the United States.
