PHOENIX –
Rebecca Keijzerwaard of the New Mexico State women's tennis team took home Second-Team All-Western Athletic Conference honors in singles Thursday night at the WAC awards banquet.
This is the first All-WAC honor for the sophomore since joining the Aggies. She was named to the WAC All-Tournament team last season as a freshman in doubles after going 2-0 in the tournament.
Keijzerwaard finished the regular-season with eight victories – eight of which came in dual play. She also went 6-4 on the year at the top singles position for New Mexico State – including a 3-2 mark in league play.
The third-seeded Aggies are set to open the WAC Tournament on Friday, April 27, at 10 a.m. (MDT) against the fifth-seeded Redhawks of Seattle U at the Mesa Tennis Center.
