BRYAN, Texas – The New Mexico State men's golf team completed play at the Aggie Invitational on Sunday at the Traditions Golf Club. The Aggies finished in a tie for 12
th with in-state rival New Mexico after compiling a team score of 931 (+67).
Isaac Merry led the way for NM State firing a 74-79-73—226 (+10) to place in a tie for 35
th.
Michael McGilton followed with scores of 83-74-74—231 (+15) to tie for 47
th. McGilton led the squad with 35 holes for par and Merry had a team-high eight birdies.
After posting a 82-77-76—235 (+19),
Tristin Goodwin finished in a tie for 59
th.
Ryo Harada took 75
th with scores of 87-76-81—244 (+28) and
Tadhg Campbell rounded out the lineup with an 84-86-79—249 (+33) to finish in 77
th.
At tournament's end, No. 1 Oklahoma State took home first place with a team total of 869 (+5), followed by Kent State in second at 876 (+12), while No. 2 Texas A&M and No. 12 LSU tied for third with a score of 882 (+18).
New Mexico State stays on the road for the regular season finale. The team plays at the ASU Thunderbird in Phoenix, Ariz., April 14-15.
