INDIANAPOLIS – A trio of teams at New Mexico State were awarded the NCAA Public Recognition Award on Wednesday the governing body announced. The Aggie women's cross country, women's golf and women's tennis were recognized for having a multi-year Academic Progress Rate score of 1,000 – which ranks in the top-10 percent.

It is the fourth-straight year women's tennis has garnered a perfect multi-year APR score while women's golf has now posted three-straight years with a 1,000 score. Women's cross country for the first time ever recorded a perfect multi-year APR score.

This is the 13th year that Academic Progress Rate (APR) data has been collected for Division I schools. APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams. The latest date released by the NCAA this past Wednesday spanned from the 2013-14 through 2016-17 academic years.
