Road to Omaha for @NMStateBaseball Starts in Lubbock

NM State baseball is heading to NCAA Regionals in Lubbock, Texas with Kent State, Louisville and Texas Tech.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State baseball team punched its ticket to the NCAA Regionals after winning its first ever Western Athletic Conference Tournament title. Announced on Monday, the Aggies are now set to play in the Lubbock Regional in the 2018 Division I Baseball Championship, June 1-4.
 
NM State opens the double-elimination regional with a round one matchup against host No. 9 Texas Tech on Friday, June 1, at 12 p.m. MT on Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. This contest can be viewed on WatchESPN.
 
During the 2018 regular season, NM State and Texas Tech have met twice with the Red Raiders winning both games. The two teams last met on April 3, in Midland, Texas, where the Crimson & White carried a one-run lead into the seventh inning before falling, 2-1.
 
The two other teams competing with the Aggies and Red Raiders in Lubbock, Texas are Kent State and Louisville who clash in the nightcap on Friday at 5 p.m. MT.
