2014 (Freshman)Competed in Horsemanship… Earned a season high score of 73.
Matzdorff, from Paradise Valley, Ariz., comes to NM State highly decorated in AQHA and APHA events and will bring proven experience to the horsemanship squad. Matzdorff earned Championship honors in the Horsemanship and Equitation at the 2012 AQHA Novice West Championship and was named Reserve All-Around Youth. Also in 2012 she was AJPHA Reserve World Champion in the Novice Youth Horsemanship and World Champion in the Novice Youth Horsemanship at the PtHA World Show. In 2013 Matzdorff placed fifth in the 14-18 Horsemanship at the AJPHA World Championship and was named World Champion in the 14-18 Horsemanship at the PtHA World Championships. Matzdorff is currently serving as President of the Arizona Junior Paint Horse Club. She is the daughter of Dave Richey and Nikki Matzdorff.
