2004 (Senior): J.T. will either be a starter, or come out of the bullpen as a long reliever.
2003 (Junior): Severe made 10 appearances, including three starts, and posted a 4-1 record.
Severe earned victories in his first two appearance as an Aggie.
J.T. pitched two innings of one-hit relief to earn the victory in the Aggies' 4-3 decision over the College of the Southwest (1/26). In his next appearance, Severe hurled 4.2 innings and allowed just two earned runs while striking out five in the Aggies' 15-9 victory over Portland (2/7).
Severe won his first start as an Aggie, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing four earned runs while striking out four in an 18-6 victory over Rhode Island (2/14).
He gave up four earned runs in five innings against New Mexico (2/23) in the Aggies' 5-4 win, but did not earn the decision.
J.T. earned the victory by pitching five innings of relief in the Aggies' 16-14 win over New Mexico (4/22).
He gave up two earned runs in three innings of relief against UNLV (5/31) in the NCAA Tournament.
2001-02 (Freshman-Sophomore): Severe won 19 games in two seasons at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid, Oklahoma. He posted a 10-2 record and was a third team NJCAA Division II All-America pick as a sophomore. He had streaks of 20 and 16 scoreless innings as a freshman and had six complete games that season. He helped lead Northern to a 43-23 record, a Bi-State Conference title, a Region II Tournament title and third place at the NJCAA Division II World Series. He pitched a nine inning complete game in Northern's 3-2 win over Pearl River in the first game of the national tournament. J.T. was also a 4.0 student and a four-time member of the President?s Honor Roll.
High school: Severe played high school baseball at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Personal: J.T. (Josh Thomas) was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma and is the son of John and Karen Severe. He is majoring in Civil Engineering.
