BISMARCK, N.D. – Former New Mexico State standout
Dorottya Lennert has been named a graduate assistant coach with the University of Mary swimming team. Lennert will join the program in their inaugural season.

"I'm ecstatic about the opportunity to work as a graduate assistant swimming coach for the University of Mary," Lennert said about the announcement. "I take great pride in knowing that I will play a role in the establishment of a successful and prestigious swimming program. I'm looking forward to actively contributing to the development of this team to become conference champions and more throughout the duration of my stay at the University of Mary."

The 2016 Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year, Lennert made her mark on the record books in here time at New Mexico State. This past season, Lennert broke the school record in the 100 fly, 200 fly and 200 IM. In addition to setting school records, Lennert helped the Aggies to a second place finish in the WAC Championships, where she won the 200 IM and the 100 fly.

"Dory was one of the most impactful students we have had during my tenure at NM State," said NM State head coach
Rick Pratt. "Not only was she a talented athlete, she was also an inspiration to her teammates through her hard work and attitude. Dory was always thinking of ways to get better and was willing to go that extra step to separate herself from the pack. I know she will help others do that in their life and sport as a coach for the Marauders."

A native of Budapest, Hungary, Lennert graduated from NM State this past Spring with a degree in Psychology.
