FLAGSTAFF, ARIZ. – MacKinna Hauff represented New Mexico State at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships on Tuesday as the sophomore competed in the 1-meter springboard. Hauff performed well, but was unable to qualify for the event finals.
"MacKinna had a solid performance on the 1-meter today," diving coach Miranda King said. "She started out very strong in the first two rounds and stayed consistent throughout the meet."
Hauff finished 34th out of 51 athletes with a score of 226.55. Though Raina Brommer was scheduled to compete alongside Hauff, she was sidelined due to injury.
"[Hauff] stayed focused through the long event and I am happy with where she ended up in the field," King said.
The NCAA Zone E Diving Championships conclude with the women's platform on Thursday, March 7.  Preliminaries for the event begin at 11 a.m.
