LAS CRUCES N.M. - New Mexico State track and field competed at the UTEP Invitational on Saturday. Four Aggies came home with first place finishes.
Crissey Amberg won the 800m as the junior finished with a time of 2:13.79. Julia Yescas ran a seasonal record in the event as she finished in fourth with a time of 2:18.28. Savannah Coleman placed fifth in the 400m hurdles as she clocked in at 1:06.71.
On the field, Keyarha Wilson won the women's high jump as she finished with a mark of 1.68m (5-6). Kayli Farmer (1.65, 5-5) and Hannah Smith (1.63m, 5-3 ) finished in third and fourth place, respectively. Farmer also placed first in the javelin as she finished with a season high mark of 46.49m (152-6.25). Akuadasuo Ezenyilimba placed first in the discus as she threw 42.95m (140-11). She also placed third in the hammer throw as she threw 50.52m (165.9). Alexandra Napier Winebark competed in the discus alongside Ezenyilimba and finished in fifth with a mark of 39.96m (130-2.5)
The Aggies travel to Irvine, Calif., for their next meet as they compete in the Steve Scott Invitational on Friday, April 28.
