NM State's Brommer Has Strong Showing on Final Day of NCAA Zones

New Mexico State diver Raina Brommer performed consistently on the final day of NCAA Diving Zones in Flagstaff, Ariz.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – New Mexico State diver Raina Brommer had a strong showing on the women's platform during the final day of the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships. Despite her exceptional performance, Brommer fell shy of qualifying for the event finals.

"Raina had an amazing platform event today," dive coach Miranda King said. "She put together her best overall platform event of the season. She hung in the top 18 for the first four rounds, but dropped a little bit with her last dive."

Brommer placed 25th with a final score of 194.50 in her first career appearance at the prestigious event.

"Overall, I am thrilled with how she ended the NCAA Zones meet this year and I am already looking forward to next season with all the girls," King said.
