@NMStateMGolf Releases 2018-19 Schedule

NM State men’s golf released its 2018-19 schedule that includes 11 regular-season tournaments.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's golf team announced its 2018-19 schedule that includes 11 regular-season tournaments with the Aggies hosting a pair.
 
NM State returns 12 golfers from its 2017-18 squad, led by senior Michael McGilton who posted a stroke average of 74.14 last season to lead all returners. The team also welcomes in four newcomers with Cameron Gambini, Hogan Molthan, Niall Powell and Garrison Smith.
 
The 2018-19 slate opens up for the Aggies at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational hosted by Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo. from Sept. 7-9. The team then travels to Albuquerque, N.M. for the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate which is hosted by New Mexico from Sept. 28-29.
 
NM State then returns home to host the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate at the NMSU Golf Course from Oct. 15-16. Just four days later the Aggies conclude the fall season as they host the Pepsi Redhawk Invitational in tandem with UTEP at the Redhawk Golf Course, Oct. 20-21, in the City of Crosses.
 
After the winter break, NM State returns to the links for the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz. from Jan. 28-29 in a tournament hosted by the University of Arizona at the Sewailo Golf Club.
 
Play resumes two weeks later in San Diego, Calif. for the Pro Compression Invitational which takes place from Feb. 11-12 at The Farms Golf Course with the University of San Diego playing host. Before February comes to a close, the Crimson & White head to the Lone Star State for the All-America Intercollegiate, Feb. 17-19, on the Golf Club of Houston.
 
NM State remains in Texas for the final regular season tournaments and is set to open the month of March with the Border Olympics at the Laredo Country Club from March 11-12. The team then heads to Kerrville, Texas for the Big Texan, March 25-26, hosted by UT Rio Grande Valley.
 
Two more contests in April close out the regular season. This begins with the Aggie Invitational on April 6-7, hosted by Texas A&M in Bryan, Texas. The final tournament before postseason play features NM State in the Bayou City Collegiate at Golfcrest Country Club in Houston, Texas, April 15-16, hosted by the University of Houston.
 
The Aggies then compete for the conference title at the Western Athletic Conference Championship in Lakewood, Wash. at the Oakbrook Golf Course, April 27-29.
