RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Aggies closed out the regular season in stellar fashion Saturday at the Highlander Invitational on the UC Riverside Agricultural Operations Course.

The women's team placed second in the 6k run, and the men's team came in third in the 8k race, as each squad had runners finish in the top 10.

Taking first for the women's squad was sophomore Richelle Sandin, who came in sixth and posted a time of 21:00.26. Freshman Maggie Gibbs crossed the line second for the women, coming in 16th overall with a time of 21:36.37. 

Senior Ocean Stevens finished third for NM State and 18th overall with a time of 21:38.19. Freshman Emily Stutesman and junior Anisa Burciaga rounded out the Aggies' top five, finishing 23rd (21:53.50) and 24th (21:54.36), respectively.
 
On the men's side, junior Michael Kirwa took first for the Aggies, placing seventh overall with a time of 24:25.61. Senior Iley Bruce finished second for the men and 15th overall, posting a time of 24:46.01. 

Sophomore Anthony Molina crossed the line third for the team, coming in 24th place with a time of 25:01.10. Sophomore Matt Goddard and redshirt Jose Sliva rounded out NM State's top five, taking 42nd (25:18.43) and 44th (25:20.17).
 
The Aggies will now turn their full attention to the postseason. The WAC Championships are set for Saturday, Nov. 2, in Kansas City, Mo.
