SAN ANTONIO – NM State men's golf sophomore
Cameron Gambini claimed his first top-25 finish of the season Tuesday at the Lone Star Invitational on the AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio.

The Las Vegas native shot a one-under-par 71 in the final round of the tournament to skyrocket up the leaderboard, tying for 22
nd with an overall score of eight-over-par 224. After shooting a five-over-par 77 and four-over-par 76 in the first and second rounds, respectively, Gambini delivered the Aggies' best individual round of the weekend Tuesday.

Tanvir Kahlon and
Niall Powell both tied for 34
th place at 12-over-par 228. Freshman
Scott Rescigno, meanwhile, came in right behind them, concluding his first collegiate tournament at 13-over-par 229.

Trey Diehl rounded out the Aggie fivesome, finishing with an overall score of 15-over-par 231. Fellow freshman
Cole Grossl, competing as an individual in his first collegiate tournament, came in at 24-over-par 240.

NM State takes this coming weekend off before participating in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, hosted by New Mexico, at The Championship Golf Course in Albuquerque, N.M. The first and second rounds tee off Friday, Sept. 27, and the final round is set for Saturday, Sept. 28.
