LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Aggies close out the first month of the season this weekend, traveling northbound on I-25 to participate in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, hosted by in-state foe University of New Mexico.

15 teams, including the Aggies, are slated to compete in the event, which is played at the UNM Championship Golf Course. The first and second rounds of the 54-hole tournament tee off Friday, Sept. 27, with the final round gets underway Saturday, Sept. 28.

THE FIELD
Host New Mexico welcomes NM State in addition to Arizona, BYU, Coastal Carolina, Colorado, FAU, Kansas, Loyola Marymount, North Texas, San Diego State, UNLV, UTEP, Utah and Wyoming.

BYU is the tournament's reigning champion, shooting a 16-under-par 848 to claim the team title last year. UNLV (850, -14), Pepperdine (851, -12), Arkansas (860, -4) and New Mexico (863, -1) rounded out the top five.

NM State, meanwhile, finished in 13
th place, coming in at 39-over-par 903. Then-freshman
Cameron Gambini led the way for the Aggies, firing a three-over-par 219 to tie for 32
nd.

NM State is coming off of a solid showing at the Lone Star Invitational on the AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio. Gambini claimed his first top-25 finish of the season at the event, shooting an eight-over-par 224 to tie for 22
nd.
