TUCSON, Ariz. -
 Freshman
Trey Diehl carded his fourth consecutive top-50 finish to lead the way for the Aggies during the team's spring-season opener at the Arizona Intercollegiate.
Diehl's one-over-par 72 in yesterday's second round matched his career-low score, as he turned in a seven-over 220 overall performance to tie for 44th at Sewailo Golf Club. The native of Farmington, N.M., fired an even-par 72 at the Bentwater Intercollegiate this past fall.
Freshman
Aidan Thomas, meanwhile, finished tied for 52nd at nine-over-par 222. He fired a three-under 68 in Tuesday's final round to wrap up his time in Tucson, Ariz., on a high note.
Seniors
Ryo Harada and
Tanvir Kahlon finished tied for 57th and 59th, respectively. Harada carded a 10-over-par 223, and Kahlon came in at 11-over-par 224.
Sophomore
Cameron Gambini rounded out the Aggie fivesome with a 14-over-par 227 effort. He tied for 68th place.
NM State finished in 13th place at 30-over 882, closing out the competition with a team score of one-under-par 283 in the final round.
The Aggies will next compete in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate from Feb. 21-23Â at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
