Senior Day on the Horizon for @NMStateSwimDive

Aggies host CSU-Pueblo for final home meet of the season.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State swimming and diving team is set to host CSU–Pueblo on Senior Day, Saturday, Jan. 4, at 11:30 a.m. at the NM State Swimming and Diving Complex. This event is free to attend and Senior Ceremonies will begin at 11:10 a.m.

"We've had a great week getting our rhythm back into training after the team had time at home," said head coach Rick Pratt.  "We're healthy and excited to start off another year of racing.  This is also a special meet as it's our senior's last chance to race at home.  We're going to celebrate their sacrifices with some great efforts."

NM State is set to contest the 200 Medley Relay, 1000 Free, 200 Free, 50 Free, 200IM, 3m, 100 Fly, 100 Free, 100 Back, 500 Free, 1m, 100 Breast and the 200 Free Relay.

The Aggies are returning to the pool following a break after a meet in San Antonio against UIW and Trinity College. NM State recorded eight first-place finishes, nine second-place finishes and six third-place finishes. Freshman Italia Aranzabal set the school record on 3m with a 314.35 and earned her second WAC Diver of the Week honor.

The New Mexico State divers will then travel to Los Angeles for the UCLA Diving Invite Jan. 17-19, before the entire squad heads to Albuquerque for the Battle of I-25 on Saturday, Jan. 25.
