FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Italia Aranzabal finished her time at NCAA Diving Zones in Federal Way, Wash., with the 3m board on Tuesday, March 10.

"Italia started off pretty strong today on 3 meter," said diving coach
Miranda King. "She had her best reverse two and a half in competition today and was all smiles and was just out of the top half at the halfway point. Unfortunately, she missed her back two and a half a little bit which was a bummer. She was then a little close to the board on her inward two and a half which has been a little uncharacteristic of her lately. Even though the event didn't finish as strong as she started, she did not let her miss affect her diving mentally. She stayed tough and tried to hang in there."

Aranzabal finished the preliminary round with a score of 197.10 to finish 47
th.

The freshman now heads to Mexico's Olympic trials to compete on Friday, March 13, at approximately 10 a.m.
