LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Aggies have earned recognition for their academic excellence for the second year in a row.
NM State men's golf was named an All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Thursday. As a team, the Aggies received their third GCAA All-Academic Team award in the last four years and fourth overall, with the 2016-17 and 2012-13 squads also earning the honor.
For consideration, a college or university must submit GPAs for each student-athlete on their official squad list for the academic year and the team GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
On the course, the Aggies' top finish of the year came at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate. NM State snagged a second-place team finish, coming in at even-par 852.
