LAS CRUCES N.M. - For the first time since Nov. 15, 2019, the NM State cross country teams know when their next meet will be.
The Aggies announced on Thursday they will compete in two meets in a postponed 2020 season. The Aggies will compete in the Dave Murray Invitational on Friday. Feb. 19 in Tucson, Ariz., and the WAC Championships on Saturday, Feb. 27 in Seattle, Wash.
"Though we wish we had a full schedule, we are thankful to be able to give our athletes a chance to compete this spring," head coach
Doug Reynolds said. "We are excited to get this season underway, and we will make the most of every opportunity."
The Dave Murray Invitational will be held in Tucson and hosted by Arizona for the fourth straight season. This will be the first time the Aggies will compete in the invitational.
The Aggies will look to build off of their fourth-place finishes on both the men's and women's side in the WAC Championships. Jessica Dominguez led the women with an 11th-place finish and will look to improve on her finish this year.
Anthony Molina will be the lead returner on the men's side where he finished 15th last season at the WAC Championships.
The NCAA Championships will take place on March 15 in Stillwater, Okla.
