BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The New Mexico State men's golf team extended its lead to six strokes following the second round of WAC Championship action at Boulder Creek Golf club in Boulder City, Nev. NM State now sits at 12-under-par (564), six strokes ahead of Grand Canyon (-6).

Garrison Smith stayed steady, shooting a one-under-par 71 to remain in first place at nine-under-par for the tournament. Smith leads UVU's Gabe Lysen (-8) by one stroke. Teammate
Aidan Thomas took full advantage of moving day, carding a two-under-par 70 to move into a fourth-place tie at three-under-par for the tournament.

Joseph Robson (-1) joins Smith and Thomas in the top-10 after carding a three-over-par 75 for the day. Following closely in a 13
th-place tie is Cole Grassl (+1) with
Alvaro Morales rounding out the Aggie five-stack tied for 28
th.

NM State seeks to clinch the WAC Championship and a spot in the NCAA Regionals tomorrow, May 2, at the final round of the WAC Championship with tee times beginning at 10:25 a.m. (MT).
