Aggies head to Albuquerque for William H. Tucker Intercollegiate

Garrison Smith and the Aggies close out a busy week Friday and Saturday

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The NM State men's golf program and head coach Mike Dirks close out a busy week this Friday and Saturday at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate hosted by the University of New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course.

The event will be the second event of the week for the Aggies, as NM State played at the Lone Star Invitational back on Monday and Tuesday.

In that event, the Aggies finished as runners-up, while junior Garrison Smith shot a final round 68 (-4) to rise to a tie for third overall. Smith was tied for the overall lead heading into the 54th and final hole, before ultimately finishing third.

THE COURSE:
The Aggies make the short trip up I-25 to UNM and the UNM Championship Course. A par-72, the course is 7,555 yards in length and features the 606 yard ninth hole.

UP NEXT:
The Aggies return to action three weeks from Monday when they host the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate presented by Spence Asset Management at the NMSU Golf Course.
