First Pitch
Coming off a weekend in which the Aggies doubled their win total by way of sweeping I-25 rival New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M., the Aggies now travel west to Tempe, Ariz., for a five-game slate at the Sun Devil Classic. NM State will open the classic with a matchup against Ball State on Friday morning at 11 a.m. MT. They will also see Rutgers and host Arizona State over a three-day stretch.

Legend in the Dugout
Kathy Rodolph has had a remarkable career as the head coach of the Aggies. In her 19th year at the helm, Rodolph is the winningest coach in NM State with a 548-452 record. She's led the team to four WAC Tournament Championships and six WAC Regular Season Championships, including last season when the team went 14-4 in conference play. She is also a five-time WAC Coach of the Year. She has helped the Aggies capture the last eight WAC player of the year awards and back-to-back WAC Freshman of the year awards. Additionally, Rodolph has helped 17 players earn NFCA All-Regional Team honors.

Aggie Rundown
On Tuesday, the Aggies picked up a pair of wins over New Mexico in a double-header versus the Lobos. In the first meeting, the Aggies were led by a four-RBI performance by Kayla Bowen as she finished the game with three hits, one home run and one double. Like Bowen, Yazzy Avila also finished the three-of-four from the plate. Avila would also cross home plate twice and add the Aggies' lone stolen base of the game.

Jordin King earned the win in the circle in the first tilt as she went 4.2 innings, picking up four strikeouts and giving up just two earned runs.

In game two, catcher Savannah Bejarano did the most damage as she went three-of-four with three RBI and a stolen base while batting from the nine spot. The bottom of the lineup also got a boost from Gabby Aragon as she was responsible for the Aggies' first run of the day when she hit a double to score Jillian Taylor in the top of the fourth.

Aggie starter Felicia De La Torre had one of her best outings of the season as she picked up her second win of the season – going six innings and striking out seven. Laurali Patane also entered the game late to earn the save.

Statistically Speaking
A pair of Aggie bats have been two of the hottest in the conference thus far as both Yazzy Avila and Kayla Bowen rank inside the top-seven in batting average this season. Avila's clip of .404 ranks her fifth in the WAC and Bowen's average of .386 puts her at the number seven spot among league hitters.

Meanwhile, Ramsay Lopez has been among the best at getting on base, ranking fourth in the conference with an on-base percentage of .549 while Yazzy Avila (.462) ranks tied for tenth in the WAC

Along with being one of the league leaders in getting on base, Ramsay Lopez has also been one of the top power hitters, collecting seven home runs on the season to rank second in the WAC. Lopez is also second in slugging percentage as she is slugging 1.000 through 14 games. Riley Carley (.833) and Maya Martinez (.667) also rank highly in slugging percentage, claiming the fifth and seventh spots respectively.

As a team, the Aggies are slugging .519 which is good for best in the league, while also leading the WAC in on-base percentage (.398) and ranking second in batting average (.320).
