LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Thank you, Aggie Nation.
Only one year removed from one of the most challenging seasons in the history of NM State athletics, the Aggie Athletic Club established an impressive benchmark Monday by reaching $814,826.50 in total revenue generation for the 2021-22 year.
That total marks the AAC's highest single-year giving total in the history of NM State athletics, eclipsing the previous record of $802,000 set in 2019-20. Thanks to the 1,002 donors who made that possible, the AAC has seen its annual revenue increase by a total of 375% since the 2014-15 academic year.
"Watching the massive financial outpouring of support from Aggie fans around the nation has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the past year," commented NM State Director of Athletics Mario Moccia. "Our biggest priority at NM State is ensuring our student-athletes have the tools necessary to accomplish their goals in their respective sports and in life. Thanks to the support of over 1,000 of our staunchest supporters, we have made sure our Aggies are able to have access room, board, tuition and nutrition throughout the year."
A challenging 2020-21 academic year saw an impact on giving. The dip in annual giving was short-lived, however, as NM State athletics supporters around the globe came together and volunteered nearly $1 million in funds to better the experience for all Aggie student-athletes.
