HENDERSON, Nev. – NM State got off to a red hot start in the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate on Monday. After 18 holes of golf, the Aggies sit in fourth place and are looking to climb the leaderboard on Tuesday.
The Albuquerque native Thomas caught fire in the opening round of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate. Firing a 66 (-6) in the opening round, Thomas sits in second as play heads to the second day. The 66 was just one shot off of Thomas' career best – A 65 in the final round of the 2019 Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate.
Much like Thomas,
Javier Delgadillo had an outstanding day on the links. Delgadillo matched his career-best round, firing a 70 (-2) on Monday. Delgadillo went three-under par without a bogey between holes two and 14. On Tuesday, Delgadillo will begin the day just outside of the top ten.
