BRYAN, Texas – NM State concluded the three-round event in a tie for eleventh place with Memphis. As a team, No. 33 Louisville won the event by three shots over No. 15 Texas A&M, despite being eight over par on Tuesday.
After eyeing down an individual championship,
Javier Delgadillo wrapped up the event in his home state in a tie for sixth place, the second-best finish of his career. After firing a career-best 67 (-5) in Monday's second round, Delgadillo once again shot below par on Tuesday, finishing with a 71 (-1). The freshman from El Paso also carded his first career eagle on the fifteenth hole.
NM State will now shift its focus to a final tune-up before the WAC Championships. Beginning on Friday, April 21, the Aggies will compete in the BYU Cougar Classic in Provo, Utah before competing in the conference tournament just one week later.
