PROVO, Utah – Starting the final round in sixth place, NM State showed no quit on Saturday, climbing two spots in the final round. The Aggies concluded the regular season with a fourth place finish at the 58th PING Cougar Classic.
 
Garrison Smith and 
Joseph Robson once again led the way for the Aggies on Saturday. The duo both finished at 209 (-7), tying for eleventh place. On the back nine holes, Smith went two-under par with an eagle while Robson birdied four times to shoot a 32 (-4).
 
Alexandre Bauduin caught fire on the front nine, shooting a 31 (-5), including an eagle. Bauduin rode the momentum throughout the round, posting the best score of his career as he fired a 67 (-5).
 
The two-day event in Utah concludes the regular season for NM State. The Aggies will head back to Las Cruces to prepare for the WAC Men's Golf Championship. The conference tournament will take place at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. Previously, the Aggies have won seven conference championships with the most recent coming inn 2021.
 
Final Round Notes
	- Both Alexandre Bauduin and Garrison Smith eagled in the final round.
- Smith's eagle on 15 was his only non-par on the back nine as he shot a 34 (-2)
- Bauduin's eagle paced a five-under front nine, including birdie or better on holes five, six, and seven.
- The hosts, No. 44 Brigham Young, won the event, shooting an 824 (-40). Max Charles of Boise State won the individual title after firing a blistering 197 (-19).
