ARLINGTON, Texas – In their final season in the Western Athletic Conference, three Aggies etched their names into the record books forever.
Garrison Smith and
Aidan Thomas both earned First Team All-WAC honors while
Javier Delgadillo was named Freshman of the Year by the conference.

Smith set the conference tournament record for lowest individual score on Sunday, shooting a 197 (-19) in Boulder City, Nevada. Smith ranked as high as No. 6 in the Golfstat rankings earlier this season, finding his way onto the Ben Hogan Award watch list. Earlier in the 2022-23 campaign, Smith earned WAC Golfer of the Month honors in September.

For the third time in his career, Thomas has earned a First Team All-WAC selection. After being named to the first team in 2020-21 and again in 2021-22, Thomas once again got the nod in 2022-23. Throughout the season, Thomas turned in five top-ten finishes, including a tie for eighth place at the WAC Men's Golf Championships.

As a true freshman, Delgadillo stole the show several times throughout his rookie campaign. Delgadillo carded three top-ten finishes and a top-five finish at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate. He fired a career-low 67 in the second round of the Aggie Invitational in route to a sixth place tie. Delgadillo capped off his stellar freshman campaign with another tie for sixth place at the WAC Men's Golf Championships, missing his career-best tournament score by one shot. Delgadillo joins Thomas as fellow Freshman of the Year honorees.
