NM State Launches Sack Club Initiative

| By:

Fans will have the option to donate to NM State Football per sack or per win

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – As the 2023 football season nears, NM State Football has launched the "Sack Club", a new initiative surrounding the Aggie defense. The Sack Club will allow fans the opportunity to combine the fun of competition with their philanthropy. Fans interested in learning more about joining the Sack Club can visit nmstatesackclub.com for additional information.

Fans can choose to donate a set amount (minimum of $25) per sack throughout the 2023 campaign. Last season, the Aggies recorded 28 sacks throughout the season, averaging 2.15 sacks per game. The benchmark would have ranked fourth in Conference USA last season. There is also an option for fans to cap their monthly donation at a set amount.

Fans will also have the option to donate per NM State win throughout the season. The Aggies are coming off of a seven-win season and look to continue success under second-year head coach Jerry Kill and defensive coordinator Nate Dreiling.

"Getting a sack on defense is such a huge momentum shift. Most of them eliminate the offense's chances of getting points," Dreiling remarked. "It needs to be a party on the field and in the stands every time we get one this season!"

Funds raised by the NM State Sack Club will directly benefit NM State Football and the Goal Line Club – the official fundraising organization of Aggie football. Each week, fans who participate will receive a weekly personalized email following each game and donations to the Sack Club will be processed at the end of each month.

NM State will kick off the 2023 campaign with back-to-back chances for fans to root on the defense in person. Starting with a pair of home games against UMass (Aug. 26) and Western Illinois (Sep. 2), the Aggies will also host FIU (Oct. 4), Sam Houston (Oct. 11), Middle Tennessee (Nov. 4), and Jacksonville State (Nov. 25) throughout the year.
