COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Entering Monday, the Aggies trailed Valparaiso by three shots. Entering Tuesday's final round, NM State will sit atop the leaderboard by three shots. As a team, the Aggies shot eight-under on Monday, led by
Alexandre Bauduin's five-under 67. Previously, Bauduin had shot five-under at the PING Cougar Classic before matching the figure to skyrocket 69 spots up the leaderboard in Colorado.
Alvaro Morales continues to shine for NM State in the opening part of the season. The El Espinar, Spain native posted four birdies on his way to a two-under round. With back-to-back round shooting under-par, Morales enters Tuesday's final round in a tie for seventh place.
Joining Morales in the seventh place tie is
Javier Delgadillo, the sophomore from El Paso. Delgadillo posted a 69 (-3) on Monday, powered by five birdies. The 69 was Delgadillo's lowest round of the year and his lowest since posting back-to-back 69s at the 2023 WAC Championships.
Second Round Notes
- Alexandre Bauduin matched his career-best round by firing a 67 (-5). Bauduin previously shot a 67 at the 2023 PING Cougar Classic.
