CUSA Championships Up Next for NM State

NM State heads east of the Mississippi for the first time this season.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Following an eventful regular season, the Aggies are set to take part in the 2024 CUSA Cross Country Championships, held Nov. 2 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala. Hosted by Jacksonville State, this is the first trek east of Texas for the Aggies this season. The women's 6K will kick off the day of competition at approximately 7:34 a.m. MT, with the men's 8K following at 8:34 a.m. MT. The Starting Line
  • NM State will compete in the 2024 CUSA Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 17, from Watts Cross Country Course for the final meet of the regular season.  The women's 6K will start at 7:34 a.m. MT, with the men's 8K beginning at approximately 8:34 a.m.
  • The Aggies will compete alongside each of the other member institutions in Conference USA: FIU, Jax State, Kennesaw State, Liberty, LA Tech, Middle Tennessee, Sam Houston, UTEP and WKU.
  • This will be the final meet for the Aggies as a team, though a select group who qualify will then head to the NCAA Mountain Regional, hosted by the University of Nevada on Nov. 15.

One Year Ago… | 2024 CUSA Championships | 10.28.23
  • In their first championship meet as members of CUSA, the women's team took third overall, tied with Liberty behind First Team All-Conference selections Thobile Amon and Thulisile Amon, while the men's team took fifth place, paced by Thomas Croshaw's 13th place finish.
  • In addition, Croshaw was named the Freshman of the Meet, posting a time of 23:42.2.
