FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – With one final opportunity to prepare for the WAC Championships, a trio of Aggie divers traveled to the Wall Aquatic Center to compete in the Lumberjack Diving Invite hosted by Northern Arizona from Thursday through Saturday.
 
1-Meter
The Aggies' 
Mira Tinani came into the weekend off of a CUSA Diver of the Week honor in her last time out and carried that momentum with her to Phoenix as she landed in eighth after the preliminary round. Closely behind her was 
Italia Aranzabal who secured a spot in the finals with a score of 243.75 to place 10
th. 
Casey Schmidt also competed – turning in a score of 213.10 to place 19
th.
 
Later in the day, Tinani would post a finals score of 506.60 to finish 10
th overall while Aranzabal managed 12
th with a score of 474.75.
 
3-Meter
On the second day of competition, NM State was led early on by Aranzabal who's score of 264.60 in the prelims was good for 10
th-best and a spot in the finals. Tinani also earned a finals appearance with a score of 253.85. Schmidt also remained consistent - picking up a 19
th-place finish.
 
In the finals, Aranzabal landed in 12
th (508.50) and Tinani finished in 16
th (482.75).
 
Team Dive
The trio of Aggies also teamed up on day two of competition and did so exceptionally as they combined to post a score of 257.60 which was good for a bronze medal finish.
 
Platform
Once again, 
Mira Tinani shined for the Aggies in the platform event as she advanced to the finals with the day's fourth-best score. 
Casey Schmidt also reached the finals as she posted a 203.55 to finish 11
th in the prelims.
 
Tinani only improved her placement in the finals – finishing second overall with a score of 447.70 to record the Aggies' best finish of the weekend. Meanwhile, Schmidt's score of 400.70 was good for 13
th.
